Important Information The “Before”

First thing to do before you start is make a doctors apt and get those numbers and that physical done.   Tell your doctor what you have in mind, your plan, possibly written down, will help them help you!  Please don’t skip this part! 

We are about to embark on a journey.  I would say it’s going to be a very hard journey since it is going to involve our 9 yr old son.  One who is used to eating Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, and canned ravioli! So no, it’s not going to be easy but it’s going to be a very good change in our lives. I’m excited, my husband is excited, my son…not so much! That’s to be expected though. We did allow him McDonald’s and all these bad processed foods previously so why should he expect any different from us now?

Let me tell you a little about my son:  He’s such a sweet kid and a very happy morning person!  He’s not all that active (unless you count video games as active).

Note: we DO plan on changing that as well but hey, lets take one thing at a time! I don’t want to put the child into pure shock.

He has no patience, silly things get him really grumpy, he gets angry quickly about little things,  he has a lot of head aches (he was actually diagnosed with pediatric migraines from his doctor) and tummy aches, and he throws up more then a child should in my opinion (prob about once a month or maybe once every other month) because something he ate got his tummy upset. These things to me is NOT normal for a child, so I took things into my own hands and decided to do some research on the subject of  whole foods.

I have learned that not only can you feel better, live longer, and have happier kids but you can use your food medicinally! Yes, your food can be your medicine and cure your ailments. I mean, I can’t say that it’s happened for me YET, but I have read it in so many areas and actually witnessed this in friends of mine. I decided I have to try it to see what all the fuss is really about and what better way to see how this works, then to DO it yourself! Right?

I’m going to be sharing loads of pictures and links that have helped me out, for you all to enjoy because I want to help YOU feel better as well .  I promise I will share what I learn and experience here with you as well! I will share before and after pictures of many things..including US as we begin to lose all this extra weight we REALLY need to lose! My son is not real overweight  yet but if we allow him to continue eating the things he is eating he will be.  And its our responsibility to keep him healthy and give him the best life possible!  So we will begin soon, please stay tuned and follow along!
